High Waistlines r in these days

High Waistlines
Hemlines for Spring/Summer 2007 are flirtatious and indecisive. Spring is about the dress. For those youthful enough in body and mind the mini-dress with the sky high hemline is the must-have dress.

A fashion trendsetter should think high-waisted empire dresses that reveal lots of thigh or at least graze the knee. The high waistline has developed as a noticeable trend in all types of clothing, including shalwar kameez, skirts, pants and jackets. Deep corset belts can easily make any dress high waisted.

Short cute dresses and micro-minis are one of the key pieces for fashion conscious women this spring. Wear them as dresses or as tunic tops over leggings, jeans or pants.

The latest fashion trends for Spring/Summer 2007 are all about 'dresses'. There is a fashion transition happening at the moment with romance in dress, versus futurism in dress.

On a fashion history point, I note that hemlines have been rising steadily for some two seasons and the ultra-short catwalk silhouette is leading to extreme leggy looks in mass produced garments for spring and summer 2007.

checking jeans or denim before buying

Fit of your jeans

Finding what works for you is essential. No matter how great the style is- if it’s not flattering-don’t wear it. Now, here are a few essential tests the jeans must survive to become a closet staple.
Try on another pair.

Take several pairs into the dressing room and don’t be afraid to ask the sales person for help. It’s their job. Finding jeans isn’t the easiest task, but if you find a nice-fitting classic pair they’ll last a few years.
washing process

After all that trouble, don’t ruin them.
Wash jeans inside out. That’ll help maintain color and the original look longer. Don’t put them in the dryer- hang dry or put them on a towel- it’ll keep them from shrinking and keep you from wearing man-capris.

Wedgie Check
Make sure they look good from all angles. (And I do mean I want you to check out your butt in the mirror. No body wants to see your perma-wedgie.)
Tight Pants Check
Examine the overall fit. Make sure the legs, crotch and waist areas aren’t too tight. Also keep in mind that most denim shrinks- especially in the length. Buy them a little long, because even in they’re labeled ‘pre-washed’ they still may shrink - abandoning you with ankle-biter pants.
Comfort Check

Take a trial run around the dressing room. Walk around and see if they chafe. Sit down. Do they bunch up to much or dig into your skin? Are they itchy or too stiff or soft and pliable? Check to see if the pockets work for your wallet and keys.
A good pair of jeans should be comfortable and functional.
Belt and Shoes Check
Do the belt loops work with your belt? Yes, belt loops do come in different sizes and don’t work for all belt styles. This will also show you where the pants hit on your waistline. Save yourself the trouble and wear your favorite belt and shoes while shopping for a quick test.
